1. Information We Collect

When you use Dustd, we collect the following information:

  • Account information: your name, email address, and profile details you provide
  • Activity data: shooting scores, disciplines, dates, and clubs you log rounds at
  • Photos: images you upload with your activities (up to 8 per activity)
  • Social data: follows, likes, and comments you make within the platform
  • Authentication data: if you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from those providers
  • Usage data: the pages and screens you view, the buttons you tap, and recordings of your sessions in our app and website (see section 6)
  • Device and technical data: your device type, operating system, app version, browser, IP address (and the approximate location it implies), and error reports when something goes wrong
  • Install source: when you install the app from a link on our website or an ad, the App Store and Google Play tell us which page or campaign the link came from

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and operate the Dustd service
  • To display your activity and profile to other users based on your visibility settings
  • To send you notifications about activity on your account
  • To send you emails about your account, and occasional emails to help you get started (for example, a reminder to log your first round). Every non-essential email has an unsubscribe link.
  • To understand how Dustd is used and to find and fix problems, using the analytics, session recordings and error reports described below
  • To measure which pages, links and ad campaigns bring people to the app
  • To improve and develop new features

On our public website we center club maps near you, and when you set up the app we suggest clubs near you, using an approximate location inferred from your IP address or your device’s time zone. It is used only to show that page or those suggestions and is never stored. Your precise location is used only when you choose “Locate me”, with your browser’s permission.

3. Data Storage and Processing

Your data is stored and processed by Supabase, our database provider, and our apps and website are hosted by Vercel. Your data, including the analytics and error data described below, may be stored on servers located outside of Canada, including in the United States. We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share data only with the service providers that help us run Dustd, or when required by law:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and photo storage
  • Vercel: hosting, and anonymous page-view statistics for our website
  • PostHog: product analytics and session recordings, linked to your account ID and email address once you sign in
  • Sentry: error and crash reports, linked to your account ID
  • Resend: sending email
  • Google and Apple: sign-in, if you choose it, and app-store install reports

Activities you set to “World” visibility may be visible to anyone with a link.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Control who sees your content through visibility settings (World, Dustd users only, or Only me)
  • Delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings page

6. Cookies, Local Storage and Analytics

We use your browser’s local storage, or the equivalent storage in our mobile apps, to keep you signed in and to save drafts and settings.

We use PostHog for product analytics. It stores an identifier in a first-party cookie and in local storage, records the pages and screens you visit and the buttons you tap, and may record your session (what was on screen, with your clicks and scrolls) so we can find usability problems. Text you type into form fields is masked. Session recordings are kept for 30 days.

When you reach our website from an ad or campaign link, we store the campaign name in a first-party cookie for 7 days, so we can tell which campaign led to an app install.

We do not use advertising cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; Dustd will still work.

7. Children's Privacy

Dustd is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of Dustd after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

9. Contact

If you have questions about this privacy policy or your data, contact us at support@dustd.club.
